A 9 year old boy was arrested by police officers in place of his mother. What happened was that the boy's mother got into a fight with a neighbor, the neighbor called the police and the mother ran away. Due to the nature of this case, Is it lawful to detain such person because of his age and his innocence?

It is unlawful for the Nigerian Police to detain a child for a crime committed by his mother. Well meaning Nigerians can take up the case and seek redress in court for a breach of his fundamental Human Right and ask for damages.Posted - May 24 2017, 08:32 AM
