Whistle-blowing is an act of exposing an individual or a corporate entity that indulges in unwholesome acts such as fraud, and other crimes. For it to be tagged as whistle blowing, the information must be done in good faith, must be made to the appropriate authorities (not newspaper, blogs or unauthorized persons), and above all genuine. Also, such a person may choose to remain anonymous. In Nigeria, the incentive of 2-5% award was inculcated to encourage patriotism among Nigerians
